Yield: 6 servings
Skill Level: Easy

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup Fisher® Chef’s Naturals Chopped Walnut

  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together egg, milk, vegetable oil and bananas.
  2. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture; batter should still be slightly lumpy.
  3. Heat a lightly greased pan over medium high heat. Scoop the batter into the pan, approximately ¼ cup for each pancake. Sprinkle a few tablespoons of walnuts on each pancake.
  4. Cook until bubbles begin to appear around the edges of the pancakes; should take about 2 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook until golden brown on the second side about 1½ - 2 minutes longer.
  5. Serve with maple syrup and extra walnuts, if desired.
