Please be aware that this is for the voluntary recall initiated on May 1, 2015. It is not a new recall.

FDA failed to post the May 1, 2015 recall on their website. When they posted it today, it automatically generated an alert. If you read the recall notice, you will see it is dated May 1, 2015.

May 2015 - JBSS Voluntarily Recalls Fisher 10 OZ. Chopped Walnuts 

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) announced today that it is voluntarily recalling Fisher Chopped Walnuts packaged in 10 oz. plastic bags because some of these products may be contaminated with Salmonella. 

DECEMBER 2014 – JBSS VOLUNTARILY RECALLS FISHER 8 OZ. CHOPPED WALNUTS AND 8 OZ. PECAN COOKIE PIECES

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) announced today that it is voluntarily recalling Fisher 8 oz. Chopped Walnuts and Fisher 8 oz. Pecan Cookie Pieces packaged in plastic bags because some of these products may be contaminated with Salmonella.
